An eight week course with one Saturday morning class (weather permitting).
A brief history of Hispanic herbalism as practiced by Californios and Native American
Californians. Topics to be covered will be food preservation, tinctures, salves, vinegars,
history, urban herbs, the traditional herbal garden, Hispanic herbal candies, the use of herbal baths
and steams, healing foods and more. This course will require a great deal of hands-on work.
